Complaining fans....

*DISCLAIMER* First I would like to say this is just a general rant of things I see frequently with Backstreet Boys fans. The whole mixtape/BBQ events are what is triggering me to write this blog but this isn't the ONLY time/event this has happened with. It happens ALL the time. And its not directed towards any one person but just in general. So here goes...

I know a lot of fans pay LOTS of money to meet the boys, ect. and what is the FIRST thing a lot of those fans who pay all that money say? "This is too expensive." or "Why do they charge so much?" or other things like that right?....Right. Some fans forget two things when saying things like that....1. NO ONE is making you pay whatever the amount is they are charging you. 2. Even though the boys love what they do at the end of the day it IS their job. Do you wanna do your job and NOT get paid for it and do it just because you love it? If any of you just said yes you are lying. There aren't that many people out there these days who will work for free whether they love their job or not, sorry.

Another thing fans seem to forget is that if you were so mad or against the prices of VIP or any other events and enough fans got together to boycott these VIPS or events then the boys and their management would finally realize that they charge to much, ect. But for every 100 fans who complain they don't like the prices there are another 100 who don't care and are willing to pay the money to do the VIPS and other events.

Something else a lot of fans seem to think is that the boys owe them a million and one things and they deserve all this stuff handed to them on a silver platter. They don't seem to appreciate what they actually have. Fans want to meet the boys so they make it so you can buy VIP/SC passes and meet the boys. What happens? Fans complain because there is a barricade. When you buy VIP does it say "you will get your picture taken with the boys and there will not be a barricade?" No it doesn't. So if they wanted to stand on the stage and make the fans stand in front of them on the stage they could do that and that would still be fans getting a pic WITH the boys. (don't get any ideas boys ;) haha) So as long as you get a pic and the boys are in it technically they did their part of the agreement. But then fans want more like no barricades or whatever else things fans think they SHOULD get because they dished out all this money. Like I said NO ONE makes you buy the stuff. And MOST fans are able to go on to the FC to read/see past shows/VIPs/ect so you know exactly what you are getting BEFORE you buy.

Perhaps some fans forget what it was like from the beginning until around Black and Blue or even Never Gone a little bit. Where you couldn't even breathe around the boys. It was harder to meet them. (Yes I know most of that was due to their popularity but still) There wasn't Sound check parties where you got the chance to meet them, ect. Even on the Never Gone tour they gave you the opportunity to win SC passes to WATCH them sing but not meet them. Then they decided to go ahead and change it up where you can WATCH SC and meet the boys and some fans STILL wanna complain and think that its not good enough.

There are some fans who haven't ever even been able to see the boys in concert let alone be in the same building as them. Or fans who can't travel, ect for the boys. (not saying the ones who CAN travel should feel bad or not travel because some can't but just some things to think about)

Personally the way I see it when the boys took their break before Never Gone honestly I wasn't sure if they were ever gonna get back together so in a sense I kind of think of Never Gone until now as "the bonus years." I never in a million years thought the boys would still be together going on 20 years so I am happy with the fact they still wanna make music and do fun events and stuff. Because really if they wanted to they could just go into the studio record a CD, do the promo, go on tour, perform during the show and continue on. The fact they wanna have SC parties or be a part events like Mixtape and have a BBQ or do cruises, ect.

It seems to happen a lot in life not even with just BSB but people always want "more! more! more!" when they should just be happy and appreciative of the things they have or the things they have had or been able to do.

And on that note I end my blog. Again this isn't directed at anyone in particular and I know not ALL fans are like this but I know A LOT of fans who do have this type of mentality and its really quite sad.

My first meeting with Brian Littrell (4-2-06)

(I'm moving all my blogs from myspace to here. So here is the first of many....)

Original post date: April 3, 2006)

My 10 year dream finally came true

(I know its kinda of long-but i didnt wanna leave anything out )

Ok so here's my story...

I was calm as ever all the way until Brian snuck behind the crowd to get in and everyone screamed. After that it finally sunk it like "OH HEY YOU ARE ABOUT TO MEET BRIAN THOMAS LITTRELL!!!!

So I was talking to Leighanne while I waited in line to see Brian (and she was so sweet) that's when they noticed us blasting "I'm alive" and Brian's face was priceless he was like "Who's playing that?" and everyone pointed at Laura and he's like "It's not even out yet" and we were like "You played it on that interview." and him and Leighanne were like "oooooh yeah" LOL So then it was my turn and Leighanne saw my shirt that said "I WAITED TEN YEARS FOR THIS" and she was like "awwww your shirt is gonna make me cry" and Brian was like "What baby?" and she was like "look at her shirt" and he was like "awwww you really waited 10 years to meet me?" and I was like "YUP!" and he was like "awwww thank you" :)

Then I asked Brian to record a message into my little recordable frame I had. He of course said yes. :)  Leighanne saw it and was like "awww this is so cute-do u wake up to this every morning?" (I thought she said something else. LOL) I started laughing and was like "YEAH?" and she was like "Are you trying to move in on my man?"I started laughing and was like "noooo." She laughed and said "I'm only kidding."  (So funny) So then Brian was like "What's ur name?" I told him Amber and he was like "Amber"? I said yes and he was like "Alright." The I asked him to sign a pic of him I had.  Leighanne was like "This is such a cute pic of him where is it from?" I told her that he is always cute and told her it was from the Never Gone show in Buffalo. Brian went to sign my pic with the black sharpie he had and I was like "No!" and he kind of had this "What the heck?" look on his face and I said "I want you to use this one(it was silver) so it shows up better."  He was like "you want me to use yours? Ok." LOL The I asked for a picture. I asked for Leighanne to be in the picture. So Brian got Leighanne after a little whining and crying.(Not really he was just trying to be dramatic. It was funny)  Before I left I made sure to experience a hug from Brian. He said yes. He really does give the most AMAZING hugs on the planet. LOL As we hugged he whispered in my ear "Thank you for coming." (Pretty sure I melted into a pile of goo at that very moment. LOL)

I gave him this little book with bible verses and stuff in it and told him how Philappeans 4:13 was in there. He thought it was cool.  After that we just hung around. Randomly talked to Brian. Got to watch him do an interview at one point. It was really cool. Towards the end we asked him to talk like Donald Duck (and he did) it was super cute. Then this group of 4 black guys(some other group that was there) came to talk to
Brian and people were taking pics of them together and Brian was like "hey look its
the new Backstreet Boys!!!!" Then he laughed and was like "I didn't really say that."

I asked him where Baylee was and he said how he was up in the hotel room painting with their assistant. His face was cute. You could tell he just loves that little boy so much and loves talking about him. :)

This is the message he left me when I asked him to record a message for me: "Hey Amber, It's Brian...God
bless ya, I wanna thank you for coming to meet me at GMA week and uhhhhummm I'll talk
to u soon....GOTTA GO" :)

And that about sums up one of the greatest days of my life. I hope you enjoyed it. :)
