Brian Littrell: One Phone Call....this is no April Fool's joke...

Pretty sure this is something you file under "Things that will never happen...." but one day Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys called me on the phone. Why you might ask? Well because I asked. Sounds too simple right? But that's what happened. In fact, it really started out as a joke. There was a Christmas contest and each day there was a different prize. One day a few lucky fans got a phone call from Howie and I tweeted jokingly and said I'd prefer a phone call from Brian and it just went from there...

So what would you do if a Backstreet Boy told you to send them your digits? Well you'd be crazy not to send them right? Hehe So of course I did but still never thought he'd go through with it. I guess by now I should learn never to doubt that man. ;)

So over the next few months I would jokingly tweet things about him calling me and sometimes he would reply back with something funny. (He is a tease sometimes on purpose but I think that's just part of his Littrell charm, but shhh don't tell him that I think its acceptable. ;) LOL)

This one might have been my favorite. I could totally picture/hear him in my head singing this and I'm not gonna lie it killed me a little bit. (Let's not tell him I think that's acceptable too. LOL)

Now after reading that I was willing to give him all the change he needed to make "the call"  if that's what it would take....

This might have been the funniest one. Gotta love auto correct. It was really supposed to say "some DAY" not "some daddy" but it was funny and totally not intentional despite what some might think. At this point I was still skeptical that it would ever happen but like I said before its not usually smart to doubt Brian.

So fast forward a little bit and I kind of gave up on the idea of Brian ever really calling me. But on April 1st I decided to give it another shot....I figured my birthday is in April it would be the perfect time right? Again Brian told me to give him the number so of course I did. I also told him my birthday wasn't until April 17th but if he wanted to call me today I wouldn't be mad. So this time it was a little different....

Because a few minutes later my phone rang and on the other end was Brian!!! Let's first discuss how I almost pressed "ignore" instead of "answer." How horrible would that have been? I hope at least if that happened Brian would be nice and leave some sort of voice mail but still I would have been super sad. LOL Luckily that didn't happen though. ;)

So I answered the phone and the first thing Brian said was "So your birthday is April 17th?" I replied with "umm yes?" (I was slightly confused because who just says that as an opening line on the phone? Hehe) We didn't talk long but at that moment it seemed forever. I kept telling him it was crazy and that I was freaking out, even though I really wasn't but at the same time I really couldn't believe I was actually talking to him on the phone.

I told him I didn't really think he would call but he informed me that he's not the kind of guy who likes to break promises. I then informed him that its that kind of answer that is why he's my favorite, well one of the reasons. ;)

He asked me what I was doing, I'm sure he wasn't too interested in that I was just watching cool. (I live a pretty awesome life as you can see. HAHA) He told me they were getting ready to have movie night, I asked what they were watching and he said they were waiting on Baylee to pick something out.

He then told me how it was a beautiful day in Atlanta and I told him how it was still snowing and cold in NY. He thought it was crazy. Its kind of funny because when I tell people I talked to Brian on the phone their first question is "what did you talk about?" and I answer with "Oh you know the weather...." and they think I'm just being funny but we did in fact talk about the weather. LOL

At this point we still didn't have much info about the 20th anniversary fan event/ Walk of fame stuff in LA which was in like 3 weeks so I asked Brian if he had any info. He said they had just got an e-mail that day about it. (Backstreet Time at its finest I guess. LOL)  I told him how plane tickets aren't cheap and how fans need to plan and how sometimes I'm not a fan of Backstreet Time. I then told him I guess after 20 years I should be used to it and he laughed and said "yeah." LOL He thought it was cool I was coming from NY for it though.

That's about all I really remember. At the end he told me Happy Early Birthday and to stay warm in NY and that he'd see me in LA. LOL And we hung up and I freaked out slightly. Haha No shame in my game. LOL

Oh and the funniest part on the phone is randomly I heard his dogs bark and he yelled "Shut up and be quiet." And it might have amused me more than it probably should. LOL

So the moral of this story is A. NEVER doubt a Backstreet Boy especially if his name is Brian. and B. Anything is possible if you just believe in it enough.  :)

I know it may be crazy to some because its just a little phone call but its these kind of simple moments that take up the most room in a heart. Sometimes the smaller the gesture the better, at least to me. Its also another reason why I love these boys so much. They do really care about their fans and those few extra seconds/minutes they take to sign an autograph or stop for a picture or in this case Brian taking a few minutes out of HIS TIME with his family to call me that mean so much and I seriously cannot thank him enough for it. :)

Backstreet Boys 20 year celebration! (4/20/13 & 4/22/13)

Most boy bands don't last very long, most boy bands have only 1 or 2 members who can sing while the others look pretty in the background. The Backstreet Boys aren't like most boy bands. They have lasted 20 years(and are still going...) and all of them CAN sing and DO sing.(They are pretty too though. ;) LOL)

On April 20, 2013 the Backstreet Boys celebrated 20 years together. They had a fan celebration in LA along with getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 22nd.

I've never been to LA so I took this as the perfect opportunity. Seeing LA AND my favorite boys all at once? Yes Please. And to make it even better it was 3 days after my birthday so it was gonna make for the PERFECT birthday celebration.

So away to LA I went. Met up with some friends(both old and new lol) and had a blast not only seeing the boys but just being in LA with friends. :)

The fan celebration was fun even though I wish they would have performed something. But that's okay those boys are great anyways. They did questions and answers, played clips of the new album, shared part of their documentary they are working on and just had fun.

The boys:

Brian reinacting a time when a fan got on stage and made his mic bust him in the lip. (Sorry Brian but it was kind of funny. lol)

Drunk Kevin is funny. He was telling a story of a guy who kept thinking he was AJ and he kept saying to Kevin "Wassup AJ?" hahah

Howie was telling a story of a fan trying to get a little fresh and she (in his words) "grabbed my biscuits."

They all got comfy on stage to watch part of their documentary.  Well the boys stood off to the sides to watch while Brian got comfy on the couch. LOL

Then he did his best Tom Cruise impression. ;)

Then it was over and time for the meet -n-greet. :)  I talked to Brian first. Gave him a book I made him. (It was a photo book with pics from each year they've been together with some quotes as well. He said he really liked it. I hope so.) Then I said Hi to AJ, Kevin and Howie were talking when I got to them and didn't wanna sound rude being like "Hey guys I'm here say Hi to me!" haha Eventually Kevin saw me and said Hi, same with Howie and then I said Hey to Nick. Got hugs from all of them. Brian really does give the best hugs.

So the next day we just hung out had fun went to the Wax Musuem, ate cupcakes and stuff. I won't bore you with those pics because I'm sure most are reading this just to see pics of the boys. But it was a lot of fun. LOL  ;)

Then the 22nd it was time to watch the boys get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Being there in person is something I will NEVER forget. It was just such an awesome moment to witness. Super proud of those boys.

The boys star :)

Howie giving his speech: (I dunno why he's the only one you can't really see in his pic. LOL)

The fan giving her speech to the boys while they watched:

Max Martin hugging the boys after giving his speech for them.

I think those boys were excited about the star. ;) Now as Brian would say everyone can walk all over them. LOL (PS: The next two pictures I DID NOT TAKE just using them because I like them. Enjoy)

After the Walk of Fame ceremony I ran into Leighanne (along with Brian's parents, they seriously are the cutest things ever.) and we chatted for a little bit. Love talking to her, she's awesome. I look a hot mess in the pic because it was hot and I was tired but she insisted we took a picture. Haha

In case you missed the boys speeches check them out here:

                                                                      AJ:

Words cannot express how proud I am of these 5 boys. I've watched them grow up and seen them at the highest of highs in their careers and the lowest and no matter what gets thrown their way they come out on top and better off then when they started. I honestly don't know what my life would be like without these 5 men, I do know one thing though it would definitely be INCOMPLETE without them. ;) So here's to another 20 years boys.....Thanks for all the great memories and some of the best friends a girl could ask for. :)

You left a permanent stain on my heart.... (BSB In a World Like This Tour)

I've lost count on how many times I've seen the Backstreet Boys in concert but no matter how many times I see them its nothing short of amazing. They ALWAYS put on an amazing show and each boy gives 110% of themselves every night! The best part though? Those 5 boys CAN actually sing and do actually sing LIVE. :)

I went to the IN A WORLD LIKE THIS tour in Cleveland, OH. since they didn't come to Buffalo, NY. (You should come next time boys *coughBrianifyouarereallyreadingthiscough* LOL) Holley came to pick me up on Friday and away to Cleveland we went. The show wasn't until Saturday so we just hung out, ate hot pockets and drank nasty wine. Hahaha Saturday we got up to get ready for VIP/SC and the show. Jenny and Adrienne met us at the hotel and then we headed to the venue. We are used to Backstreet time so we waited a little bit to go and Jess tweeted asking where I was. Then Brian needed to get in on it too. He's funny. ;)

For sound check they sang the acoustic set they do during the show (Safest place to hide(a capella), 10,000 promises, Madeleine and Quit Playing Games) and Love Somebody. I like it better when they perform songs not on the set list but it was fun anyways.

Sound Check Pictures:
Sometimes Brian sees me taking a picture and makes a funny face. Oops?

Love having Kevin back. :)

Brian looked like he was in a rap battle with his outfit. LOL

Those boys have such a magical sound when they sing together. :)

Brian wearing my favorite hat. :)

Before pictures I had to go see Brian because he had my Wylee pre-order. He's such a sweet husband helping out his wife. (Check out his sweet Backstreet Boys hoodie. ;) lol) This is when I gave him candy too which later he informed me that he loved it and shared some even though he didn't want to. LOL

Then it was time for pictures. Finally I got a picture I like with just me and all 5 boys. :)

Me and Kevin chatted about my shirt and Buffalo Bills football. Brian told the other boys I was Queen twitter. I told him I was sorry I tweet too much.Haha Seriously though I love these boys so much.

Fast forward and it was time for the show. I had AMAZING seats. I was 2nd row near the little part of the stage. Way better than I thought I'd have.

Brian's son Baylee performed first and let me tell you he is the most precious thing ever. So cute. Definitely following in his daddy's footsteps. Brian was so adorable off to the side watching him perform. You could just see his face glowing with how proud he was.  I wonder how crazy it must be for Brian to have his son open for his group 20 years later. Crazy.

Then it was Jesse McCartney. I was actually pretty impressed with him. He did a good job.

Now for the best part. The boys. I couldn't wait to see the show because they always put on a fantastic show and this one definitely didn't dissappoint.

The start of the show. Loved all the lights and stuff.

Brian always amuses me during "Incomplete." He always looks so bored. Not that I blame him because that songs makes me wanna go to sleep. LOL

Loved seeing the hat dance again after so long with all 5 boys. So cool.

Brian was in front of me pretty much the entire song of "Show 'em(what you're made of) so I just took a lot of pictures. He is just beautiful both inside and outside. Enjoy....

A few more pics:

More than that is my favorite song they do live. SO glad they brought it back was sad it wasn't on the NKOTBSB tour. LOL

I think Brian was trying to explain to Nick that its okay that he's part muppet but Nick wasn't having it. LOL

Seriously those Kentucky boys are cute. :)

Brian with a guitar is one of the greatest things to ever happen to the world, seriously I am not even joking. Its beautiful. :)

I seriously have a new found love for Kevin. I also am trying to figure out when he got so hot? LOL I played with his hair at the after party and it was so soft and fluffly and fun. I highly recommend doing it. LOL

Howie is just cute and little. I seriously wish I could just put him in my pocket. LOL

Nick muppet dances a lot and I just love it. I would love it even more if he just embraced his inner muppetness and admitted that his real father is Jim Henson. True story.

AJ is such a sweet heart but let's be real for a moment...he needs to get rid of that small bear on his face. So gross. And his "Trust me" shirt is slightly creepy. LOL

Sweet ROK. <3

Those boys seriously never disappoint. If you are undecided about seeing one of their shows let me help you by saying GO! GO! GO! So much fun and dang can those boys perform. You will LOVE IT I promise because those boys really got it goin on for years. ;)

I am seriously always at a loss for words when it comes to how those boys make me feel especially Brian. I don't know why/how I got so lucky and blessed with all the things I've been able to do because of him/them but I hope he/they know that I love and appreciate every single moment and there aren't enough thank you's in the world to say how thankful I really am for everything they do not just for me but for fans everywhere.
