*Sidenote: The reason this is so late is because I thought I wrote one already then realized I didn't. Hahaha*
So June 25-26, 2013 the Backstreet Boys went to NYC to promote their new single "In A World Like This" off their new CD "In A World Like This." They performed on Live with Kelly and Michael and made an appearance on The Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda. I decided to take a bus 8 hours to the city to see them.
Got the important things ready for my trip and Brian thought he should inform me that chewy sweet tarts are his favorite. LOL
So I take the bus and make it to NYC. Met up with Casey, her son Cole and friend Jay. We made it to our hotel to get freshened up and whatnot. I decided to be silly and tell Brian to come out and play while in NYC. And it worked....kind of....He's funny. LOL
Except when I saw him I surprised him and "found" him first. ;) He told me he was really looking for me, I told him I didn't believe him but we'll go with it anyways. LOL
We chatted a little bit. He asked me how my 8 hour bus ride was. Then he made sure to know if it was a bus ride or a train ride. He's weird. I gave him some sweet tarts. He was excited. He was like "I saw those in your picture on Instagram!" I was like "Really? I know" Then he seemed concerned about taking my candy. I told him it was fine and I had more. How considerate of B-rok? :) LOL
So we took pictures and chatted some more.
I printed out the picture that he tweeted me of him wearing his "B-Rok" necklace and asked him to sign it. He laughed and was like "And you didn't believe me that I still had it!" I laughed and said "That's not true! I just didn't know if you still had it so I asked." And he said "And I showed you." LOL
Finally got a solo picture with Kevin. He even took it. First I asked Q to take it and he said "Sorry I can't I'm watching Brian." I said "I like to do that too!" And he said "Yeah but I don't watch him the same way you do." LOL Then I asked Kevin's bodyguard to take it and he looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language so Kevin said "Here I'll do it." He's cute.
Brian, Kevin and AJ were together. They had just came back from seeing "This Is The End." Howie and Nick were together eating dinner. After Howie and Nick came back from dinner Nick seemed annoyed and just walked by. Howie stopped to chat. I even had Howie convinced he swore in front of a child. Confused Howie might just be one of my favorite things. ;)
After that Q and AJ walked down the street so AJ could get a massage. While AJ was getting his massage Q was outside chilling talking to us. He's so cool. We talked about how Cole is gonna be Howie's bodyguard and replace Josh. He even helped me get a video of AJ for a friend. AJ came out and was chilling while smoking for a bit. It's cool to just chat to them as people and not just as a Backstreet Boy.(If that makes sense. LOL)
So the next morning is when the boys were on Kelly and Michael and the Today show. We get up early and head out on another adventure. We went to the Today show to see the boys. They didn't let anyone in but the boys were awesome and stopped for pictures/autographs before and after.
Instead of getting a picture with Brian I asked him if I could just take a picture OF him. Of course he had to be silly. ;)
Then we decided to take a selfie. I was pretty excited because I always wanted a selfie with Brian where he took the picture and up until then I didn't have one. I started out trying to take the picture only I failed. He took my phone and was like "I got this." HAHAHA
After that the boys left and we saw Kathie Lee Gifford. She was super nice. My mom loves her. So I got a picture with her and told her how my mom loves her. She told me to tell my mom Thanks and that she said Hi. :)
Then I got ready to take a bus back to Buffalo as another BSB adventure came to an end. :)

The year that was 2013....
As we close on another year I sit here reflecting everything that has happened. What an amazing year 2013 was. By now most know that these blogs are usually Backstreet filled. Well this one will be no different. Top 5 moments of 2013 in the order they happened.
#1. April 1, 2013. Brian Littrell called me on the phone. Crazy right? It started out as joke. But over the years I've learned to never doubt Mr. Littrell. :) The conversation didn't last long but it was amazing none the less. And the fact he took time out of his own personal down time with his family to do it was amazing in itself. He's a pretty awesome guy.
(PS: Brian if you are reading this just know how grateful and appreciative I am of every moment of my time you have ever given me and I will cherish those moments and memories no matter how big or small they are in my heart for the rest of my life. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!)
How many people can really say they talked to their favorite singer on the phone? Not many I bet. So cool.

#2. April 19-22, 2013. I went to LA for the first time to celebrate with the boys 20 years of being together and they got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Such an incredible feeling to be there live watching it all happen. Never thought I'd make it to LA, especially for something like that. So blessed.

#3: June 25-26, 2013. "In A World Like This" single promo in NYC. The boys went on a little promo tour to promote their first single from their new CD coming out. One place they went was NYC. I took a bus to see them. They were on The Today show with Kathie Lee & Hoda and performed on Live with Kelly and Michael. I failed to write a blog about this one but I might still some day. Brian was his ever cute self telling me he was trying to find me. He was excited I brought him some sweet tarts, I finally got a solo picture with Kevin(He even took the picture. LOL) And we convinced Howie that he swore in front of a child. Good times.
#4. August 10, 2013. In A World Like This tour. Cleveland, OH. Since the boys never came to Buffalo on their tour I went to the closest place which was Cleveland. The boys were awesome as usual. Brian even wore my favorite hat like I requested. He's such a good listener. ;) LOL

#5. October 25-27, 2013. 20th anniversary cruise. Miami, FL and the Bahamas. This was my 3rd cruise with the boys and out of the 3 it was my favorite. Not only because of how amazing Brian was but because of how much fun I had just being with friends and hanging out. If you were a part of this then you know what I mean. ;)
A few of my favorite moments from the cruise:

I've made some new friends this past year as well. Some I feel like I've known my whole life. If you were a part of my life this past year I just wanna say THANK YOU....both old friends and new friends. Even if we don't talk anymore. The good ones are a blessing, the bad ones are a lesson so I welcome all that I crossed paths with. The ones who stuck around I wanna say another huge THANK YOU for taking the time out to get to know me to see that I am really not a heartless jerk like some wanna make me out to be.
I know I met more people than who are just in that picture but this is one of my favorite pictures and these are some of the best ones I met this year. (Well Casey we met last year but still I'll count you I suppose.LOL) It was so much fun hanging on the cruise and I CANNOT wait for more fun adventures with you guys and everyone else I had the pleasure of meeting/seeing this year. True Story.
One last thing. Not to end this on a sad note. But as great a year 2013 was it is ending on a sad note. As most Backstreet fans know by now we lost a good one. John "Q" Elgani the long time bodyguard of the Backstreet Boys passed away on December 20, 2013 the day before his 41st birthday. Its hard to lose a loved one unexpectedly anytime but its even worse near the holiday season and his wife is 5 months pregnant. But even though he's gone I know Q's family and friends will do all they can to show her what an amazing person Q was.
I know it may sound silly to some but the boys BG's are just a big a part of it all as the boys. They do all the dirty work keeping those boys safe & most of the time go unnoticed. I had the pleasure to meet Q several times, he was one of nicest, kindest, funniest guys I met. Definitely gone too soon. Sending out my thoughts and prayers to his family especially his wife and unborn daughter, the boys, and the rest of his family and friends. BSB events will never be the same but I know we will meet again and I will get a hug not just a handshake. ;) #RIPQ
