What happens in Vegas...ends up on the Backstreet.

I went to the first two show of the boys residency in Vegas. This was my first time in Vegas and it was amazing! If you have the chance to go....do it! You won't be disappointed I promise!

I flew from Buffalo to Vegas(with a stop in Philly and LA.) Made it to Vegas on Feb 27th late. Met up with Marge and we got lost(sort of) in the Vegas airport which turned out to be okay because we ran into Howie. Not a bad a way to start out our Vegas vacation.

Now onto why most are probably reading this....the actual show. It was AMAZING! The production, the costumes, the songs, the dances, the dancers and lets not forget the boys. It was VERY well put together. I know some don't want spoilers so I won't share the songs they sing but I was good with the set list minus the 1 song I wish they'd stop performing forever. (And no it's not I want it that way. LOL) I'm not sure if every show will have little differences or not because a things(props, costumes, ect.) changed from opening night to the 2nd night. But I know sometimes things don't always run smoothly on opening night so that could be it. Anyways, for the first show I was in section 103 row C and the 2nd show I was in the (left) pit. I prefer the pit but honestly it doesn't seem like there's a bad seat in that place.

I did VIP/Meet-n-Greet both days. The first day as expected it was a hot mess and unorganized but eventually they seemed to have gotten their shit together. Someone said there was about 150 VIPs the first night but to me it seemed like a lot more but I'm not sure. It was sort of rushed but really at the end of the day it is what you make it. You got to hug each of the boys and say something to each of them(unless of course a certain boy *I'm looking at you Brian* distracted you from that. LOL) And then you take the picture and they whisk you away, until Kevin calls you back to inform you that you didn't hug him. Well Mr. Richardson, if you insist. ;) I've had a lot of fans ask if I think VIP is worth it and I'm sort of on the fence about it. If you've never met them I say do it if you can, Even if you have met them it can be fun and it sometimes seems like you get a few extra moments with them if they "know" you or recognize you, at least that's how it seems to me. But you only live once so if you think its worth it and can then I say go for it! They won't let you bring gifts in for the boys, they'll make you check them at the door in the little coat room thing and give you a ticket to get it at the end of the show.

It's funny to me because I don't do it on purpose but some how I always seem to manage to forget to say something to one of the boys during the Meet-n-Greet. Sometimes I'll admit its because I have Littrell vision and tend to talk to him more but sometimes it's not even because of that. The first M&G Brian was first and he hugged me asked me about a video I posted that he saw which was super hilarious. We talked about a few other things, then he told me he liked my BSB hoodie which made AJ say "Yeah me too." And then we took the picture then I went down the line and hugged Nick and Howie.

The 2nd M&G I told Brian how it was stupid that I had stuff for him and couldn't bring it in. He said he was sorry. AJ liked my shirt. Brian and AJ both commented that they liked my sneakers. I actually hugged all the boys this time but don't remember saying anything to them except Brian and AJ. LOL

But those 5 boys are seriously 5 of the most humbled, kind, giving, down to earth people I have ever met. So blessed to be a fan.

It seemed for the 1st show at least that a lot of fans didn't know about the VIP lounge thing or they didn't have time to use it but it got better the 2nd night so I'm sure as the shows roll on it'll get better and better. They had drinks and snacks and I thought I heard someone say there was a cake but I never got a chance to see it.

I always hope they will add Siberia to the set list but every tour I get let down because they don't. But this show they do 3 of my top 5 favorite songs so that's a plus. :)

I also just gotta say that Brian Thomas Littrell you seriously are AMAZING. (If you happen to read this) ALL of the boys sounded incredible and while I'm not trying to discredit the other 4 boys most fans know about the vocal struggles that Brian has been having as of late but my goodness he sounded INCREDIBLE in Vegas. I had tears of joy. So proud of that man. The fact he has put so much into this fight and isn't backing down says so much about the character he is as human being. He inspires me so much to never give up on anything no matter how tough it may seem. Hard work does pay off and don't for one second Brian that it has gone unnoticed because it hasn't. Keep up the amazing work. YOU ROK!

The after party was a little crazy. I only went because Brian told me he'd be there. And he kept his word and he was there. I've had fans ask me if  I know if he'll go to more and I don't know that answer. If I had to guess I would say no, but who knows maybe he'll surprise the fans and go to some more. All the boys were up on the little bar thing in the VIP area, fans who were up close were able to snag some selfies with the guys. But all the pushing and shoving and whatever else isn't really worth it to me. But if that's your kind of fun go for it.

Vegas over all was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back in April to see the show again for my birthday.

If we are friends on Facebook/instagram/twitter then you have seen some of my pics posted. Hope you enjoyed them along with this blog. :)

*I tried to add pictures to this only it wouldn't let me for some reason. So I'll try again later. For now hopefully everyone enjoys my blog anyways without some pictures.*

A Disaster of a birthday in NYC! (4/16/16-4/17/16)

So this year I decided I wanted to do something fun/different for my birthday. My original plan was to go to LA with some friends, due to some unexpected things that didn't happen so I decided to go for plan B which was go back to NYC to see Baylee Littrell star on Broadway in Disaster! I saw the show twice in March and it was hilarious both times. So it sounded like the perfect birthday. See the show, see some friends and see a city I love.

It was a quick trip but it was still filled with so many amazing memories with amazing people. Definitely the best birthday ever. :)

I took a bus this time because it was cheaper than flying. I left Buffalo at about 2:30am on Saturday and made it to NYC at about 11am. Walked around the city a bit until I was supposed to meet up with friends. That took a bit longer than first thought so I went and saw the afternoon show of Disaster at 2pm. That was my 3rd time seeing the show.

It gets funnier and funnier every time I see it. I won't share anything that happens in it because I don't wanna ruin it for anyone, but if you have the chance to see it you should. It's HILARIOUS!!! Baylee and Jennifer are my favorites but the entire cast does an amazing job.

While I was waiting in line for the 2pm show I saw Brian and Baylee run into the theater....I think they were running late....I guess its safe to say Brian passed on "Backstreet Time" to his son. ;) LOL

So after the show I went outside to go meet up with Jaime and her cousin. We found somewhere to eat. After that we went back to the theater to see the 8pm show but this time it was pretty cool because we got to sit with Brian and Leighanne. :)

We waited outside and a few minutes later we saw Brian, Leighanne and Baylee walk up. Leighanne took Baylee inside and Brian came over to us and gave us our tickets and said he'd see us inside. He hugged us and told me "Happy Birthday."  I told him "nice hat." And he said "I wore it for you....for your birthday." :)

So we went and got in line and eventually made it into the theater. A short time after Brian snuck up behind us and asked if we wanted something to drink or a snack. He told me I had to have a drink for my birthday....OK! Brian if you insist. ;) LOL So a few minutes later him and Leighanne came with drinks and sat next to us. We had a toast for my birthday. We chatted a bit before the show actually started about random stuff, the play, ect.

Then it was time for the show to start. It was pretty cool sitting next to Brian although it was hard to not wanna turn and look next to me because he was singing along to all the songs and who doesn't love when Brian sings? Every so often I would think to myself "OMG I'm sitting next to a Backstreet Boy." LOL It was also precious looking over and seeing how much pride and joy Brian and Leighanne both had on their faces as they watched their son on Broadway. So awesome.

So after the show we got up to leave or so we thought and Brian turned to us and said "Do you wanna go on stage and meet some of the cast?" Who's gonna say no to that? So we did. As we made our way backstage and then on stage some people stopped Brian to ask for pictures and I just thought it was cool. So eventually we made it on stage. Some of the cast from the play was still up there, some of them had friends or family with them they were talking to and stuff. We were standing up there with Brian waiting for Baylee. Eventually he came out and we were all just hanging out chatting.

It was funny the one guy from the play Max Crumm(Scott) saw my bag(Wylee of course) and said he liked it and asked where I got it from and I pointed to Brian and said "His wife made it." And he said "seriously?" So he started asking me a bunch of questions about it, then he started asking Brian about it and then eventually when Leighanne came out he asked her about it as well. LOL

So after we talked and just hung out a bit we took pictures before it was time to leave.

It was kind of cool taking pictures while on stage. Now I can say I was on a Broadway stage...with Broadway stars....Oh and a Backstreet Boy. ;) LOL

Brian said we needed a "close up" so we did. LOL

When I went to take a picture with Baylee, Leighanne asked if I wanted just Baylee or Baylee and Brian and I said "Just Baylee remember he's my favorite." And Leighanne said "I thought I was your favorite?" And I said "you are! But out of Brian and Baylee....Baylee is my new favorite now." And Brian pretended to pout.

After that Brian said "now one with the boys." LOL

Then we took a few group pictures before it was time to go.

So then we left the stage and went to leave but we stopped in the lobby and chatted for a bit more when Baylee was gonna go out to the stage door to sign autographs...Baylee was tired and didn't really wanna go sign autographs but eventually he did after an adorable pep talk from Brian. Seeing Brian in dad mode is the most precious thing on the planet. :)

Right before we left I asked Brian if he could sing me Happy Birthday and I record it so I could play it the next day for my actual birthday and he said we could sing together and I told him that's not how birthdays work that you don't sing to yourself and plus he can sing better than me. So he sang to me and it was the best thing ever!!!!

So after that we said our goodbyes and left.

I became a Backstreet Boys fan at the age of 12....if someone told me back then that one day I'd be sitting in a theater in NYC next to a Backstreet Boy (and his wife) watching his son star on Broadway I would have told them they were crazy.

After seeing the play we decided to go to the Empire State Building. I've never been there so it was cool to see even at night all the lights and stuff. So cool.

I was actually at the top of the Empire State Building when it turned midnight and it was my birthday! :)

So after that I went and met up with another friend Sarah and her friend and went back to her house.

The next day I woke up to a lot of birthday messages:
For breakfast we went to a cupcake shop and I had a cupcake for breakfast. Cupcakes are always a good idea for breakfast but even better when its your birthday!!!

After that we went to a Green expo thing where they had different samples and stuff and met up with some of Sarah's friends. Then we walked A LOT to see the high line and Chelsea Market and then after that we met up with another friend and went to Shake shack to eat before going to the movies to see the Jungle Book. It was my first time seeing a movie in 3-D and IMAX and it was pretty cool. Jungle book was a pretty cool movie. The best part though was getting an Icee!!!!

After that I made my way to Port Authority to catch my bus back home. My bus left at about 10:30pm and I made it home Monday morning about 5:30am.

It was definitely an incredible birthday I will never forget. I am thankful and grateful to everyone who was a part of it. It was amazing.

And I don't know if Brian and Leighanne will ever read any of this but just in case you do Thank you for always treating me so well and going above and beyond. It is appreciated more than you ever will know and I will forever be thankful and grateful for every moment, every memory. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

And Jamie and Sarah it was a blast hanging with you two and your friends. I can never thank the Backstreet Boys enough for blessing with some great friends. :) Thanks again for everything!

Thankful for BSB: Brian Littrell edition....Part 5.

Part 5 of my Thankful for BSB blog features Brian Thomas Littrell. Having written blogs about the other 4 boys I guess you would think my Thankful for BSB blogs are over but that is not the case. One final blog will be coming.....stay tuned until the end to find out who it'll be about. ;)

Now it's easy for me to write about Brian because he's my favorite. So I will attempt to keep it short, sweet and to the point....not making any promises though. ;)

Brian has always been my favorite...first I heard that voice....then I saw what he looked like....then I got to know him. Add that all together how could he NOT be my favorite? ;) He sure does make it easy to like him. At least I think so. LOL

First thing is I appreciate how honest and real Brian is. He keeps it real no matter what, even when others in the group, management, ect. try and tell him not to. After all honesty is the best policy. ;)

Brian as a dad is seriously one of the most precious things I've seen. I dunno what it is about those Kentucky boys and kids but my goodness. Just the way he is with Baylee and the way he looks at him his eyes light up with pure joy every single time. It's adorable. I know Brian always used to say he wanted a bunch of kids and it's no ones business but his and Leighanne's on why they only have 1 but I think it's quite fitting that Brian was only blessed with one child and he is practically his mini me. It just makes my heart smile. :)  I often wonder how it makes Brian feel when he sees his little mini me following in his foot steps and singing like him. I'm sure when he became a Backstreet Boy he never dreamed that eventually his son would be opening for him and the rest of the guys. But it is beyond precious. :)

The love Brian has for Leighanne is incredible....even if I might be a tad jealous.....just kidding....kind of....but seriously it's refreshing and wonderful to see 2 people so in love after all these years especially celebrities, that doesn't happen often these days.

Overall I just love how positive the Littrell family is. I know some think its too much. But why? In a world filled with so much negativity I'll take all the positive-ness I can get. Does it mean they have a perfect life? Hardly. They just choose not to air their laundry in public for the world to see. Which is another admirable quality. Let's not forget Brian wasn't expected to live so every day he's here is a miracle and a blessing and Brian obviously knows that and tries to remain positive as much as possible.

His looks....my goodness. He is in my opinion the most beautiful human being I have ever laid my eyes on. Those piercing blue eyes, that killer smile, that jawline. Not to mention his body....I know he doesn't show it off that much but the times he has....HELLO! For a guy who just turned 40 he is in great shape.

Hair.....as I mentioned in my Kevin post that I blame him for my hair fetish....well.....it spilled over to Brian as well. With his latest hair style his hair just looks so soft.....and it is. ;) LOL And his facial hair. I'm not a facial hair girl but somehow it works for Brian. It's like his face was made for it and I love it. LOL

Sort of a touchy subject as of late....Brian's voice. His voice was the first one I really noticed and it has been my favorite ever since. It absolutely breaks my heart to see him going through the struggles he currently is going through but I admire him SO much for not giving up and fighting to working hard to get better.

His faith. He's taught me so much through him just talking about his faith and his solo music. Because of him through his music I have discovered so many other amazingly talented Christian artists and I am forever thankful and grateful to Brian for that. His music is amazing and inspiring. No matter what type of day I'm having I turn on his music and it instantly lifts my spirits. His voice is so calming and soothing and the words are inspiring as well.

His energy. He's like a giant ball of energy. He's always going. And I love how silly he loves to be. But when its time to be serious he can be.

His passion for things. Like sports. When he gets on a subject where he is excited or passionate about it he reminds me of one of those wind up toys....the more he talks about it the more he gets wound up and then he just goes. LOL Not to mention he's super competitive. To the point where sometimes I'm seriously intimidated by him. I'd be scared to be on his team in a game in fear I'd do bad and he'd be mad but at the same time I wouldn't wanna be on the opposite team because he's so competitive and good. LOL

How he is with the fans. It amazes me how generous and giving he is...of things....time....everything. Now I am not taking anything away from the other guys or I'm not trying to say they don't give to the fans, ect. But I think I am more aware of it with Brian because of how incredible he has treated me over the years. It just blows me away. I could NEVER thank him enough for all that he's done for me. Incredible.

And I'll end this Brian blog with his kicks. I've never seen someone love sneakers until Brian started to. Maybe he started a trend? AJ seemed to hop on after. I kid...I kid....LOL I really would love for him to take a video of his sneaker collection because I'm sure its Larger than life. Baylee once told me that Brian has boxes and boxes and boxes of sneakers around the house. He also told that he(Baylee) has more sneakers than his father. Yikes. LOL

So for those reasons and more I am thankful for Brian and he will forever and always be my favorite boy. But again as I've said in my other blogs if any of these 5 men weren't in this group together In a world like this it would suck. ;)

And that concludes my blogs about how thankful I am for each guy or what I like or admire about them, ect. Stay tuned for one final blog featuring all 5 boys as a group. Stay tuned....

Thankful for BSB: Kevin Richardson Edition....Part 4.

So 2 boys left to write about for my Thankful for BSB blogs.....That would be those Kentucky Cousins....

This blog features the tall, dark and handsome one of the group.....Mr. Kevin Richardson.

Where to begin? I'll begin by being honest....when I was younger and I was a fan I feel I didn't fully appreciate Kevin....and believe me I feel bad for that. But in my defense I was young. Being a fan at 12 or 13 to me Kevin seemed like he was 40 then(Sorry Kev) and liking someone in their 40's seemed weird to me. LOL But as I got older(as did Kevin) it seemed okay...I dunno where the logic in that really is because he'll always be the same amount of years older than me but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I also know some fans who weren't very happy that he was coming back after he left the group, I was actually one of those fans...at first. I know, I know bad fan. But I was more annoyed with the timing than anything. But after seeing Kevin and seeing how happy and sincere he seemed about it I quickly changed my tune. And I am beyond happy he is back. He seems happy. The boys seem happy. And that's all that matters. :)

I love Kevin and how honest and real he is. He has never been one to shy away from telling it like it is...similar to his cousin....I haven't decided yet if its just the Kentucky in their blood or the way they were raised...maybe both of those go hand in hand...whatever it is I like it and I respect it.

It's no secret Kevin adores his wife and sons and it couldn't be more adorable. Kevin in dad mode is one of the cutest things I have EVER seen. Kevin baby talking to his son Maxwell.....ADORABLE. It's refreshing to see Kevin and Kristin still together and in love after all this time, that's hard to come by in general...even harder in the celebrity world. I love it.

Kevin's voice. So soulful, deep and beautiful. I really can't wait to hear more solo stuff from him. The cover of "Back to your heart" he did on the 2013(I think) Backstreet Boys cruise was breathtakingly beautiful. Bring me some more of that please and thank you sir.

You know I can't talk about Kevin without talking about his fabulous hair......I mean it IS the reason I believe I've developed a hair fetish. LOL But have you seen that head of hair? It's so soft....fluffy....and beautiful....like a pillow you just wanna take a nap on it. I wish I was lying. LOL

Those eyes......he is definitely a good looking man. Those Littrell genes are good.(For those thinking that's a typo....Brian's dad and Kevin's mom are brother and sister and Brian is good looking too so I choose to believe that the Littrell gene is the common factor. LOL) Have you ever looked Kevin in the eyes? It's like he's piercing a hole through your soul.....you know you should probably look away but you can't. My goodness.

Lastly I'm appreciative for Kevin because of what he does for others.....two people come to mind right away when thinking of this. First if it wasn't for Kevin Brian wouldn't be in the group so I can't thank him enough for making "the call" to Brian. That alone would make me love Kevin but there's a bunch of other reasons to love Kevin too. ;)

I also am thankful that he said what he said to AJ....at the time it might have looked mean....but as Kevin says it was out of love and if it wasn't for Kevin who knows where AJ might be right now. SO thank you Kevin for knocking down AJ's door....literally. LOL

So as I've said with all my other posts I love all 5 men and without all 5 of them in the group and in my life it would definitely be a Weird world. ;)

Hope you enjoyed this. :)

And on that note stay tuned for Part 5 of my Thankful for BSB blog featuring the other half of the Kentucky cousins none other than Brian Thomas Littrell.....coming soon. :)

Thankful for BSB: Howie Dorough Edition....Part 3.

By now if you are reading these blogs you see the theme of them. But if not I'll share a bit on what I'm doing.....

Leading up to Thanksgiving I am sharing a blog about each boy from the Backstreet Boys and what I like about them, what they mean to me, ect. 2 down....3 more to go. First up was Nick, followed by AJ and now we are onto the Latin Lover of the group.....Howie D.

A lot of fans especially Howie fans tend to say Howie is skipped over a lot or underrated. To a point I agree with this. But that doesn't mean I don't appreciate him. And the ones who do skip over him or don't appreciate him are just missing out. ;)

So what is there to say about Howie D? Well they don't call him Sweet D. for nothing. He'd probably give you the shirt off his back, literally if you asked him. He's always the one who seems to be the man in the middle trying to make both sides see eye to eye in any situation. Sometimes that's not the best job to have but it has its perks as well.

Have you seen how he looks? Are we sure he's in his 40's? He's like fine wine, he gets better with age. Maybe his Irish roots? Maybe its his Latin roots? Maybe it's a secret he's not telling anyone....you know he's stealth like that. ;) But whatever it is, it's working for him.

His voice? Personally I love his voice, when it's used properly. Sometimes I think they(producers, ect) force him into parts he doesn't sound good singing. But when they give him parts that suit him my goodness he sounds amazing. For example......Trouble is, What makes you different.....just to name a few.

And his solo music? I'll be honest I didn't think I would like it. But after hearing it I was completely wrong. I love it...with the exception of 1 or 2 songs. But overall I think he did incredible. My favorite song is "Going, going, gone." Looking forward to hearing more solo music from Mr. Howie D. in the future.

I love what he's done with charity work after losing his sister to Lupus back in 1998. I know other fans who have been to events with Howie for his charity stuff and I've never NOTHING but good things about it. It's also great seeing celebrities give back when they can.

I love how down-to-earth and normal Howie is. Like when he posts pictures of how he's attending a concert or something. I mean I know celebrities are real people too, but you know what I mean....I hope. ;)  I also know he's not the only one who does such things but I don't know, I guess I just have a soft spot in my heart for when Howard does it. HeHeHe

Howie the dad...well....I'm indifferent on Howie the dad. It's kind of hard to explain. Maybe it's because Howie doesn't talk about them a lot.....or at least I don't see it. Or he doesn't bring his family out on the road like others, ect.  But its always adorable seeing a man(at least to me) in dad mode. And Howie is no different.

Again....just like I've said about Nick and AJ....without Howie in the group I would be Inconsolable. ;)

Hope you enjoyed my thoughts about the Sweet one of the group. Stay tuned for Part 4 featuring the tall, dark and handsome one of the group.....Mr. Kevin Scott Richardson. :)

Thankful for BSB: AJ McLean Edition........Part 2.

So if you read my first blog in this series you know that I am eventually writing a blog for each boy and why I like them. ect. The first one featured the baby of the group Nick...this one is featuring the "bad boy" of the group....AJ McLean.....

So here goes nothing.....

So from the outside AJ looks like a bad boy with all those tattoos, facial hair, crazy hair, piercings, ect. But if you've ever actually met AJ and talked to him you would soon find out he is one of the biggest sweet hearts on the planet.

Sometimes being a sweetheart can lead to not so good things. AJ had learned that lesson the hard way in some cases but one of the things I love about him is that it doesn't stop him from loving with his whole heart. :)

Another thing I've always loved about AJ is how he always marched to the beat of his own drum. He was the one with the crazy hair, crazy clothes, ect. and he never cared if it wasn't the cool thing to do. He liked it, so he did it. Way to be original AJ.

Now onto that voice of his. He has that sexy, soulful, raspy voice. After Brian's voice his has always been my favorite in the group. It's usually filled with so much passion and emotion. And when that voice blends with the other boys? My goodness its magical.

As for his solo work, nothing against him personally it's just some of it just isn't my style.  There's a few songs I love like London, Hate it when you're gone, Life is just to name a few.  But I do like that he is going out and doing his own thing. Especially with his latest project of "Live together." Such a positive message, if only more of the world was jumping on the band wagon. But I guess you got to start somewhere.

It's kind of ironic AJ is the only boy(so far) to have the only Backstreet baby that is a girl. Perhaps that is some kind of joke because of his player days? Who knows. But it is adorable to see AJ dress up for tea parties, ect with his little girl. And I know AJ will do anything to protect his baby and he'll be fighting off the boys when she gets older. LOL

I know AJ has helped a lot of fans overcome certain things and again he hasn't really helped me personally over come addictions or anything like that but to see him eventually realize he had a problem and to to get help was incredible and I know he's inspired others to seek the help that they needed as well.

And again no matter how much I like one boy over another, ect, I am forever and always grateful it is was these 5 boys that make up the Backstreet Boys because I really wouldn't want it.....Any other way. ;) Yeah....yeah.....cheesy way to end it with more song lyrics but it works. ;) LOL

So I hope you enjoyed this post about AJ..........

Stay tuned for part 3 coming soon featuring none other than......The Latin Lover himself Howie D. ;)

Thankful for BSB: Nick Carter Edition......Part 1.

So I decided to do a series of blogs to express why I like each Backstreet Boy and what they mean to me, ect. I figured it was a fitting time being that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. The final blog will be a group one expressing how I feel about them as a whole. :) So if you are interested here goes nothing....

First up is the baby of the group.....Nick Carter....

So lately it seems to be a common theme for some fans to assume that I hate Nick....well you know what they say when you assume? ;) LOL But in all seriousness I promise I don't hate the guy....is he my favorite? No. But I do like him. And I honestly couldn't see the Backstreet Boys being the Backstreet Boys without him so for that reason alone I like him. But I promise there's other things I like about him. And I'll share those things below...

I love  how passionate he is about things. No matter what it is. Seeing him fan boy over things to me is pretty cool because it's like he understands what we feel when us fans fan girl over him or the other guys.

I am a HUGE football fan. My team is the Buffalo Bills. (Fun fact: Nick's first favorite team was the Buffalo Bills.) I love them win or lose. I see Nick do the same with the Tampa Bay Bucs. It's cool to see that as well because I understand how frustrating it can be when your team loses a lot. Not that you'll ever read this Nick but come back and talk to me about frustrating when your favorite team goes to the Super Bowl FOUR TIMES IN A ROW and loses them all. :) LOL

Now he hasn't personally helped me overcome anything really as an individual really but I know so many other fans, some who I consider friends have Nick to thank for not giving up on life, love, ect. and that brings them so much joy and seeing them happy makes me happy. One of my favorite things in life is seeing others happy. :) But the boys as a group with their music, ect has helped me overcome so many things and Nick was a part of that but that's another story....for another post so stay tuned. ;)

Seeing him act silly and goofy is great as well. Life is so short as it is you might as well have some fun and laugh along the way. Whether it's one of his Nick Corner videos he used to make or pulling a prank on someone it's great to see him be a kid at heart.

Although I don't particularly agree with some of Nick's personal choices when it comes to the whole sex, drugs, alcohol, ect. I do have to give him credit for realizing he had a problem before it was too late and he ended up dead like so many other young, talented celebrities. I also thought it was great that he wrote a book to try and use something that was not necessarily a good thing and spin it into something that could benefit others. Sometimes some people forget that celebrities are real people and they make mistakes, ect just like everyone else.

His voice. I like it. Even more so these days when it sounds more mature and stuff. A lot of his stuff as a solo artist isn't my cup of tea, style wise but he does have some great songs. I own Now or Never, favorite song off that CD is "I got you." And I even own "I'm taking off." Favorite song on that CD is "Falling down." To me both of those songs are such powerful songs. I also like his song "Don't walk away" but I don't think that made it on a CD. Not totally sure though.

But overall if Nick didn't exist in the Backstreet Boys then I think they would be.....Incomplete.....yeah....yeah....I'm sure everyone saw that coming but I couldn't help it. :)

So that concludes my post about Nick and the things I like about him. I hope you enjoyed it.

Stay tuned for the 2nd installment of my "Thankful for BSB" blogs that will feature none other than the "Bad Boy" of the group AJ......

Wylee Pop up shop! 10/3/15.

On Thursday  October 1, 2015 at 9:45pm  my journey to Georgia started out in Buffalo.  I took a bus, 21 hours there and 21 hours back. Most people think I was crazy for being on a bus THAT long but what you are gonna read in this blog & more definitely made the bus ride worth it!!!

I made it to Atlanta on Friday October 2nd at around 7:30 pm. It was interesting to say the least; there was a guy on the bus who was drunk and passed out and was unconscious so when we made it to Atlanta there were paramedics standing by. Not sure what happened after that but I sure hope he was okay.

So I waited for Emily to pick me up and made it to the hotel, met up with Raiquetta and found some food. :)

After getting some food Emily really needed chocolate. Never go to Walgreens with her. Bad idea. Someone might find out you lick your own face. HAHAHA!

On Saturday it was the day of the party. But first we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel. The sweet tea there is SO good. :)

We started to get ready and waited for Chance and Haylee to get there. After everyone was ready we went to the store for the party.

The store set up is SO cute. Leighanne, Suzy, Brian and the rest of the Wylee team did an INCREDIBLE job with it all, especially in the short time they had to get it done. If you ever read this Leighanne, I just wanna say 100 times again THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and I'm sorry. ;) You ROK! :)

It was so great seeing everyone at the party I was mostly excited to see Melissa, her son Jacob and sister Dana since its been a while since I had last seen them, 5 years to be exact. I sure did miss them. :)

After mingling a bit inside with everyone I decided there was entirely too many people in such a small space so I went outside to get some air. I didn't realize Brian was out there, but it turned out to be a good idea. Except after it turned into selfies in the rain before Leighanne....and eventually Joe had Brian bring the party back inside. ;)

While outside with Brian though it was cool, very chill. It's always fun chatting with Brian when there isn't a lot of fans around screaming in his face or asking for 101 photos, ect. For a bit there were just a circle of fans and Brian just chatting.

This was where I gave Brian all his gifts that I was supposed to give him in Kentucky back in April only I couldn't give him because they didn't allow gifts and I wasn't trying to leave them at the hotel lobby. This was also when Chance gave him the sweet kicks he made Brian. Brian LOVED them! A way to a man's heart is through his feet according to Brian. HAHA!

After we gave him his gifts he went to get his keys to put them in his hummer. And as he walked to put them in there he dropped the one shoe and everyone was like "Ooohh" and I said I took a picture and was like "I totally got a picture of that." And he laughed and was like "of course you did." LOL

One of the gifts I gave Brian was a bracelet that said "BE STRONG PHIL 4:13" He liked it and put it on right the. So cool. :) The other gifts were 2 shirts, a Kentucky Wildcats hat and a bunch of candy.

Brian went to take a picture with Chance on his phone and I was standing next to them and I said "I could totally photo bomb you guys right now, but I'll be nice and I won't." And Brian laughed and was like "no...wait....wait...." and after they took the picture Brian was like "OK....do it now." So I got to photo bomb a Backstreet Boy which is something I've always wanted to do. LOL I also thought it was pretty cool that I was IN a picture Brian took ON HIS PHONE.....which he eventually posted on HIS INSTAGRAM. Pretty cool stuff.

Some of the things we discussed were how I never made it to the ABC party on the last cruise. Brian seemed amused by that. LOL It kind of turned into confession hour in a way. LOL After that we were discussing how big Brian's brain is because he just remembers a lot of stuff and that led me to tell Brian about the time I was in Biology in high school and took a test about the brain and instead of putting brain as the answer I wrote BRIAN. LOL My teacher circled it and wrote something like "One of the Backstreet Boys is not part of the body." LOL

After that Brian was ready to take some photos. When it was my turn me and Brian took a picture, he told me to check it out and make sure I liked it. I just shrugged and said "Yeah, its good." I guess Brian could tell I wasn't a big fan. Which was partly true, I liked it....but it was a full body picture and I'm not a huge fan of those. So I told him that and he grabbed my phone and said "Well lets take a selfie!" We took 1 selfie, he went to snap another only it didn't work because my phone isn't set to take multiple selfies at a time. So he picked on my Samsung phone and we took another picture. He started to make a funny face, so I did...only he stopped before the pic was taken and I said "Dude you were supposed to make a funny face...you failed!" And he laughed and said "No...I'm smiling at your funny face." LOL

He took pictures with a few more fans before we went back inside. Brian was awesome the entire time....he took photos with anyone who wanted a picture, he even stopped and chatted and mingled with everyone. He really is the best. :)

Everyone was shopping and hanging out. The Wylee staff was so patient and helpful with everything.

I got to chat with Leighanne for a little bit too. Love her. Love chatting with her. She's hilarious. At one point she came behind me and hugged me and I didn't know who it was so I said "Who is it?" And she said "Your 2nd favorite person after my husband." HAHA.

I talked to Brian about his solo music. Nothing new really. He just said he was working on it. I asked him if he still planned on using older songs he mentioned in the past like back in 2006/2007 and he said yeah it's still a possibility. I seriously CANNOT wait for his next CD. I KNOW it will be amazing. :)

I also asked him if he really brews his own beer. I kind of figured he didn't but just asked to be funny. He said "Oh yeah you liked that right?" Then laughed and said "no, we just got those glasses customed made."

I just gotta say Leighanne's family is awesome. I love them. Her sister Suzy and her mother are just precious. :) Being around her mother I can definitely see where Leighanne gets some of the things she does and says from. :)

I've always wanted a personalized autograph from Brian where he writes more than just "To Amber" and signs his name. Only it never seemed like the right time to ask such a thing. At this event it seemed like a good time so I asked him and of course Brian was kind enough to do it. :)

It was at this point I thanked Brian for being who is and for everything he does. I also thanked him for putting up with my ridiculous and obnoxious tweets. I told him I'm sure
he gets annoyed by all my tweets on top of everyone else's tweets. He just smiled and laughed.

We started discussing how much love Leighanne and Brian was funny because he responded by saying "Me too!" And I said "no. really?" and he laughed and said "Oh, you guys knew that? You can tell I love her?" Then he laughed. This was when I told him how back in the day when I first learned he was dating Leighanne I secretly didn't wanna like her because I was jealous I never got a chance to try and marry him; he laughed and then I said but then I got to know her and met her and loved her and was like "How could anyone hate her?" And he said "I say the same things."

We joked about how I get a lot of fans asking me the secret of getting a follow from Brian on twitter. I told him I don't know if there is really a secret but if there is and he tells me maybe I could write a book and make some money. LOL He did tell me the secret, only its not really much of a secret but I won't share it because than fans will be mad when they do it and he doesn't follow them. But  I promise its not that serious.

Brian had his personal assistant and trainer and Baylee's coach Joe serve as his bodyguard for the event. Not that Brian really needed one but he just kind of made sure Brian was okay. He was a funny guy, we chatted a bit with him and Brian about sports and football.

After a bit more hanging out and shopping most of the fans started to leave. At the end there was only a handful of fans left before Joe was in charge of "kicking" everyone out. Before we left me and my friends asked Leighanne to be in a group picture with us, Joe informed us it would be the last picture of the night. Brian was standing in front of us and the one lady asked him if he wanted to be in it and he said "Can I jump in right here?" And I said "As long as you really don't jump." So of course in true Brian fashion he did a little jump. LOL We took the picture said our good byes and left.

It was such a fun event and I am so glad I went. I'm so proud of the Wylee team and all that they did for the store and the event. So proud and happy for them to have an actual store. I think Wylee products are great and as awesome as the website is seeing and touching the products and trying them on is even better.

If you have the chance to check out the store before it closes in January do it. I promise you'll love it. :)

After the party we went to get food, then back to the hotel. To get ready to leave the next day.

Sunday I left to go back home on my 21 hour bus ride. I was pretty mad I had to miss football all day. Even though Brian told me about some website that had live NFL games, I tried the website and it turns out the website didn't exist anymore. But I guess it is the thought that counts. And the event was totally worth missing football for. ;)

Brian and Leighanne and their family and friends always put on the best events and are so kind and gracious to everyone. I cannot thank them enough for all they do. :)

I seriously love hanging out with these kids. :)

Until next time............the end. :)

Blessed beyond measure....

Lately I've been thinking about how lucky and blessed I am when it comes to The Backstreet Boys. And it made me feel a little reflective as of late. So that's what this blog is about. To share how I became a fan, when I met the boys for the first time and everything else in between. So sit back and I hope you enjoy the read.

I became a fan in the Spring/Summer of 1997. I heard "Quit playin' games" on the radio. Their voices definitely caught my attention....one voice in particular really caught my ear. Eventually I would learn that voice belonged to none other than Brian Thomas Littrell. But after the song was over I didn't really think much of it. So fast forward to a few weeks and I hear a commercial for a concert but again didn't really think about it too much until I recognized the background music which was none other than "Quit playin' games." I decided I had to go. So I did. That was on September 25, 1997 and that was the first time I saw what any of the boys looked like. I don't rememnber too much from that concert but I do remember when the boys went to introduce themselves the one said "Hello everyone my name is B-rok." And I turned to my friend and said "I'm in love." And the rest as they say is history....

So I became obsessed with them I guess is the right word over the next couple years. I had all the CDs, posters, magazines, ect. If their faces were on it and I saw it I needed it. I taped everything they were on when they were on TV. I would dream about meeting them just like every other teenage girl around the world. Did I ever think it would happen? Honestly? No. But that didn't stop me from dreaming about it. Every tour they'd come to Buffalo(I was lucky) and every tour I would go.

I remember the moment Brian waved to me on February 7, 2001. I remember thinking for that brief moment he was acknowledging me. And that made my life. And I thought if that's as good as it gets that's okay. At the time I didn't think I'd ever meet any of them and you know what? I was okay with that. So many fans don't even get to see them in concert let alone meet them and I not only at that point saw them in concert 5 times but they(well all but Howie) waved to me and I was grateful for that.

When they took their break I was still a fan but was there a part of me that didn't think they'd ever "come back?" Absolutely. But a bigger part hoped they'd eventually "come back." And they did. And I still dreamed about meeting them but still didn't think I ever would.

The first boy I met was Brian on April 2, 2006 when he was doing solo stuff. It was amazing. Not only to finally meet him but to see him as Brian Littrell the Christian artist and not Brian Littrell the Backstreet Boy. To see him share his story, his heart and his gift of song was just an amazing and inspiring experience. And even thought Brian had always been my favorite before his solo stuff I feel I connected with him on a deeper level because of his solo stuff and even though he probably won't ever know it he helped me in more ways than he will ever know.

After that day I wasn't sure if I'd ever meet him again or if I'd get the chance to meet the other guys, especially Kevin because that's when he decided to leave the group. But over the years I have been lucky to meet all the boys multiple times and each and every time they have been nothing short of nice.

But I always find myself talking with Brian the most when I'm meeting the guys. I think its because we are so much alike. I can't help but laugh when people tell me things like "Why do you like him? He's married with a child?" I don't like him because I think he's gonna leave his wife one day for me. I'm over that fantasy of thinking I was gonna marry any of them. Its more than that as cheesy as it sounds. Just the person he is. How he's not afraid to stand up for what he believes in even if it means standing alone, how he isn't ashamed or afraid to talk about his Faith and his love for his family just name a few. It's quite evident that God had bigger and better plans for him and I couldn't be more happier for that. It's also quite obvious he knows how lucky and blessed he is to be alive and I think the world needs more people like him. He definitely makes the world a better place.

Over the years I have gotten extremely lucky and blessed when it comes to Brian and him giving me attention. Whether its just getting a tweet from him, or the time he called me on the phone or giving me custom kicks. There was a time when I would question it and ask things like "Why me?" but lately I decided to just roll with it and not ask questions and just enjoy it because it isn't a common thing especially in the world of celebrities. I know some think I don't deserve it or think that I brag or suck up or that I don't appreciate it and whatever else crazy things they come up with but those things couldn't be further from the truth. I am grateful and thankful for every moment, every memory that Brian and even the other boys have given me. Each moment has a special place in my heart and I will cherish them forever and always.

A wise man once told me "Thank you is enough when its said to the right people." So I don't know if you will ever actually read this Brian but THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! for all that you do. It's appreciated more than you will probably ever know.

The wonderful world of twitter.....

I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to twitter. Lately its more on the side of hate. Some people are just sucking the fun out of it. And it's unfortunate. That is my reason for this blog. Mostly just to get some things off my chest that have been bugging me for a little while now. Everything in this blog is MY opinion and doesn't speak for anyone else other than myself. Just an FYI....

So when I signed up for twitter back in 2009 or so it was because the Backstreet Boys got one and they told fans to sign up. Eventually all the boys got individual ones. It was a fun place to chat about the boys with other fans and I never thought it was meant to be taken seriously. Were other things discussed besides the boys? Most definitely? But for me personally it was like a whole other world besides real life in a sense. I tried not to post personal things or real life relationship stuff. Why? Because I didn't think twitter was the place for it. There was Facebook for that, or even better real life. If it was about my real life chances are I wanted someone in real life to chat about it with. Plus it wasn't something that could be said in 140 characters or less....did I do occasionally? Yes. Does this mean what I was tweeting wasn't me? Or was fake? Hardly. It just meant I wasn't comfortable sharing everything with what would appear to be complete strangers until you take the time to get to know them. Is there anything wrong with that? Not at all.

My twitter is mostly filled with tweets to/about Brian from the Backstreet Boys and the rest of the boys mixed in with some football stuff added with a bit of positive quotes/thoughts and a dash of sarcasm and obnoxiousness. Nothing I ever thought was too harmful. Does that mean my whole world revolves around only those things? Not at all. Does it mean my life revolves around Brian and the Backstreet Boys? Hardly. Do some think that though? Most definitely. Why? Because they choose to assume and judge instead of just asking. Just asking a simple question or getting to know someone a little bit can do a world of difference and you would be surprised at what you may learn. Maybe you would find out that the person you think is horrible isn't really that horrible at all.

Anyways, this has been going on for a while but it has seem to be getting way worse lately. SOME fans get mad that Brian doesn't tweet them and only tweets the same fans. Is that true? Maybe so. But is that the fans fault? Hardly. Brian is a grown man he can tweet whoever he wants how many times he wants and what he wants. It is next to impossible for ANY of the boys to tweet EVERY SINGLE FAN that wants a tweet. I hear fans say how much Kevin is better than Brian because he tweets  bunch of fans even ones he doesn't follow. Does that make him better than Brian? No. Maybe it makes him a little more fair. But the fact that ANY of the boys take time out of their busy lives especially when they are at home and aren't "working" to tweet any fan or tweet anything in general I think is awesome because guess what? They don't have too!!!!! Saying you aren't a fan of them anymore because of their actions on twitter is just not right. I mean yeah you have a right to your own opinion but I think its silly to be mad at them for that. Its just twitter, its not that serious. Brian has even said a bunch of times tweeting negative things will NOT get his attention, not that I blame him but he's said it so what do you think is gonna happen if you constantly tweet mean things to him? Chances are he's not gonna reply.

Now I know for some fans twitter is the only way to get any of the boys to notice them even if its just for that moment because they can't afford concerts or they don't come their country/city/state/ect. But getting mad at fans who do get tweets whether its 1 or 101 is just silly. Being a fan isn't a competition. Whatever happened to the good old days of being happy for one another when something good happens? Guess those days are long gone and that really saddens me. The same when fans get mad that some fans see the boys a lot. Now I know US fans tend to be a bit more spoiled when it comes to them. But just because other countries don't get to see the boys as much doesn't mean the fans in the US shouldn't go see them. If they can afford it and they wanna go, I say go for it. Hating on fans for the amount of times they see the boys is just uncalled for in my opinion. I just don't understand it at all.

Another thing I see a lot is SOME fans complaining that other fans are bragging or showing off. Does this happen? Absolutely. Are all fans who are sharing their experiences/moments bragging or showing off? Absolutely not. There is a RIGHT way of sharing experiences and a wrong way. Now I can only speak for myself when it comes to my reasoning. But I do NOT share them just to brag. I share them firstly because they are my moments and they make me happy. Who wouldn't be happy when good things happen to them? So its only natural that you'd wanna share them. Nothing wrong with that. The other reason I share them is to show fans that it IS possible to meet the boys and it IS possible for them to remember you and it IS possible for your dreams involving the boys to come true. I'm just a regular fan like everyone else and because of the boys(especially Brian) they have made SO many of my dreams come true, things I NEVER knew were possible. So if they can happen to me they can happen to ANYONE you just gotta BELIEVE and NEVER give up on your dreams....EVER!

I've gotten countless amount of hate tweets sent to me just because of Brian. It's crazy. I tend to just ignore them for the most part but even the nicest person can only bite their tongue for so long until it starts to bleed. Today was the breaking point if you will. Fans(well one fan started it) getting mad Brian unfollowed her because she "spoke the truth" in her words and then she went off on a rant about me and some of my friends saying all this horrible stuff about how we are stalkers and how we buy Wylee and that's the reason Brian and Leighanne pay attention to us. And how comparing us to the killer of John Lennon. And THAT'S where I got frustrated. Comparing this twitter nonsense to someone actually losing their life? That is by far uncalled for. It's sad that it has really come to this. And honestly I'm sick of it. Not only that but I'm sick of all the drama and the hating. Fans thinking fans only like Wylee or Leighanne to make Brian happy? Please. Do I know of Leighanne and Wylee because of Brian? Yes. But if I didn't like Leighanne I wouldn't fake it, sorry but that's dumb. I like her because I think she's one of the nicest, funniest, kindest people I ever have met. Same with Brian actually. Do I like Wylee? Yes. Are there some things I don't like? You bet. Do I like it just so Brian will notice me or like me better? Not even a little bit.

It's sad that some think that. Just like its sad that people worry about what anyone else tweets, or why they tweet or who they tweet or how much they tweet. So if someone sits on twitter ALL DAY and tweets is that really hurting anyone? Chances are no. So why does it matter to you? If more people just worried about themselves and didn't worry about what others were doing on twitter or life in general this world would be a better place. Just saying.

This also goes for the fans who seems to watch what others tweet. It seems the minute I tweet something even slightly negative about anyone especially one of the boys there is ALWAYS someone who is right there to jump on me and flip out about it. But it seems like those ones never wanna point out the good things. I've helped a bunch of fans get tweets/follows/meet the boys/ect. but it seems like those things go unnoticed. Do I do them to get recognition? No. I do it because I know what its like to meet them for the first time or to get a tweet or whatever else. But it just bugs me that SOME fans are so quick to point out the negative but hesitant to give praise for the positive. That happens in real life as well. A wise man once said "Happiness doesn't sell." And that couldn't be more truer. So sad.

So the reason for this blog was to just vent a bit about twitter. I wish it would be fun again. And until it is I don't think I will be on there at all or at least not as much. I know by me doing this its like the ones hating or talking crap are the ones winning but after a while it's just not worth it anymore. So I guess we will see how things go from here.....
