Unbreakable tour 2008: 12 shows, 8 states, 2 countries, countless memories....

In this installment of my throwback Thursday blog I will be sharing my experience from the Backstreet Boys Unbreakable tour back in 2008  was lucky to go to 12 shows in 8 different states and 2 shows even in Canada. So much fun, so many memories.

The first show was August 7th in Toronto. I saw the boys before the show. It was kind of crazy. The bodyguards told the fans around Nick and AJ if they didn't get in a line and stop acting a fool they would make them go on the bus. They didn't listen so they got sent on the bus quick. LOL Fans around Howie and Brian were behaved better so they hung around a little longer. I was excited to finally get a picture with Howie. :)

Brian was his ever adorable self even though there were a few fans who you could tell were annoying him by asking him to pose like 8 different ways and stuff. LOL

There was even paparazzi people there filming the fans near the boys and they caught my time with Brian. :)

I loved this tour. I sometimes feel bad saying that since Kevin wasn't a part of it. But I thought it was the perfect combination of the boys dancing and interacting with the fans. And I loved all the song choices. They even brought back each boy doing a solo song which I loved.

My favorite thing was the boxing theme. I loved the boxing ring and everything. So cool.

The next show was August 14th in Uncasville, CT. (sidenote: The way Howie pronounces city amuses me SO much.)

Next up was Gilford, NH on August 16th.  (They played in some random places. This venue happened to be next to a strip club. LOL)

My friend Chy got Brian a hat and we tried to give it to him before the show but that didn't work out so well. We did however see him "swimming" and doing other random dances in the backstage area so that was funny. She would eventually give it to him later during the show. :)

After CT the next stop was Vienna, VA. on August 18th. Before the show we saw the boys at their hotel. This was the first time I met all the boys together and got pictures with them. So much fun.

Me and Howie: We talked about the penguin on his shirt because I love penguins.

Me and Nick: I feel like I never speak to Nick because there's always a bunch of fans around him.

Me and Brian: Before we took the picture he went to hug me but stopped(which at first made me nervous lol) and read my shirt. (My shirt said "If you choke a smurf what color does it turn?" and he laughed and said "probably green or brown?" LOL

Me and AJ: His beard was SO gross. LOL He had bright sneakers on and I told him I loved them and he told me how he just bought them the other day. LOL

I won Sound check from the FC for this show was well. I was excited because it was my first sound check. I even got picked to ask Brian a question.

My question was: If there was ever a time you doubted your faith? And if so, when was it and why?
They also sang "Trouble is" a capella which I loved because that's one of my favorite songs from the Unbreakable CD.

The next stop was Atlanta, GA. on August 20th. It was fun seeing Brian perform in his "hometown." His little speech was cute. He talked about how he married a sweet southern peach. :)

The next show was in Bloomington, IL. on Howie's birthday. August 22nd. I was excited because I won sound check passes from the FC again. :)
We even sang Happy Birthday to Howie both at SC and during the show. :)

We decided to be silly for our SC pictures. Love those boys.

I started out having not so good seats but that changed right before the show and I ended up 4th row. ;)

Happy Birthday Howard!

Next stop was the Minnesota state fair in Minneapolis, MN on August 23rd. I was most excited for this show because I got front row tickets. :)

There's nothing like being front row for a concert especially if its your favorite group. I HIGHLY recommend it.

The next show was the last show for me on this leg of the tour. (Luckily they would eventually do another one in a few months.) This show was in Highland Park, IL. Scored front row seats again for this show as well.

After the show we left early to go see the boys so we could say goodbye to them. I saw Brian go by with Baylee. They both looked so tired. He smiled, waved and said "see you soon." That was a good ending to an amazing 2 weeks of seeing the boys.

They announced the 2nd leg of the tour and I was excited I was able to do a few shows.

First show on this leg was on October 30th in Reading, PA.
My friend Chy really wanted to meet Brian so we had a friend who knew where to find the boys before the show. My pictures from this day were horrible because every time I took a picture I was in mid-sentence. We just blame that on someone being nervous. ;) LOL

Me and Nick: We talked about how he promised to bring the boys back to Buffalo to perform the National Anthem if the Buffalo Bills make it back to the playoffs. LOL

Me and AJ: we talked about his bright sneakers from back in the summer. He's weird.

Me and Brian: This was by far one of the funniest conversations I ever had with Brian. Early in the year Brian was in the FC and someone asked him what size shoes he wore and he said size 17. Of course no one believed him but the hightops he wore did sometimes appear to be too big so who knows with that man right? LOL

So I asked him if he really wears size 17 sneakers. He picked his foot up and said "Do these look size 17?" and laughed. I said "No but they look like they are too big for your feet!" And he was like "Well you know what they say about guys with big feet?" And I said "DUH! They wear big socks!" And he laughed and said "No....you know....I was trying to be funny." And we all acted like we didn't think it was funny. And he was like "I guess that wasn't funny?" Then we all cracked up laughing. But that was something I never thought I'd hear from him. Hahaha

I was hoping they would change up the tour a little bit but they really didn't except for a few of the outfits.

The next show up was in Montclair, NJ on October 31st. It was fun seeing the boys perform on Halloween because when they performed "Everybody" they came dressed up.

The Burger King man creeped me out to begin with. Now when I see him I think of Brian. LOL

Nick singing to me during "Unmistakable."

The last stop for me on the tour was November 1st in Wilkes Barre, PA.

Before the show Brian climbed up a hill to come say to the fans waiting. It was me, my friend and about 10 other fans.

Me and Brian decided to be silly and take a picture through the fence. He squished his face against the fence and after the picture said "Ouch!" And I said "What happened?" And he said that when he squished his face on the fence it hurt but he did it again to show me and was like "ouch again" so I said "Well don't do that then?" LOL

Brian looked so good in the outfit he wore for Show me the meaning, More than that, Trouble is and Incomplete.

And then this was the final stop for me on the tour and I was sad to see it end. But as they say all good things must come to an end.

One other thing. During the tour in Virginia it was crazy. The fans were so crazy they needed a police escort to leave. It brought me back to the Millennium days. It was kind of crazy but cool to see. LOL
